Aluminum one peace driveshaft from Powertrain snap at the welds on me on the drag strip. I guess too much torq for this pussy driveshaft. I was one of few Zs drag racing at compact car event at Phoenix Firebird international raceway saturday night. Track was well prepared and realy sticky. I was one of the first to drag race that night, after pfat burnout I staged, reved up to 4k and wait for yellow light. At yellow light I let the bitch rip.( I got this videotaped) Right off the line I heard this terrible grinding and banging noise that told be something gave up. The Z was still moving and came to complete stop few meters of the line. I was embarassed. They towed me out of the strip and my actual 1/4 mile run was 10min @ 5mph wow I was haulin' ass. Rest of the Zs out there did low 13s, I was impressed with my friend doing 13.4 in his NA with just nos. I got a video and time slip for Arnel if he wants to post it on his site. So I had to pay towing $160 to get it to my house. Z1 is out of driveshafts for now so I called Powertrain inc. which I still have a reciept and I talked to manager, He said that they can't waranty driveshafts that are used on high power cars. And that the new one is 470 or something like that. I was like "you rip off mutherfuckers". I suggest everyone to buy JUST strictly Z1 steel driveshafts as they are built from very tough material "steel" not aluminum crap.
